Senior Associate – Commercial & Contracts

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to lead commercial and contractual activities for defence programmes in India. The role ensures compliance with customer requirements, manages contract lifecycles and supports effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract review, bid preparation and development of commercial compliance matrices.
• Interpret contract requirements, manage changes, resolve conflicts and maintain contract trackers, milestones and payment schedules.
• Analyse risks, issues and opportunities in contract terms and present findings to management.
• Support invoicing, documentation and follow‑up actions to secure timely payments.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Program Management, Supply Chain and Engineering teams.
• Prepare commercial summaries, trackers and presentations for internal reviews.
• Represent the company to Government of India defence institutions and maintain strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Management or Commerce; postgraduate qualification in Law or Management is a plus.
• 4‑5 years of experience in defence, aerospace or regulated project environments.
• Strong business communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented, compliance‑focused and able to work with high professionalism and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP) and Defence Procurement Manual (DPM) of the Ministry of Defence, India.
