Production Operator – Entry Level Manufacturing Position

About the role

The Production Operator role is an entry‑level position on the manufacturing floor, responsible for weighing, packaging, and handling product batches to meet customer specifications while adhering to Avient’s quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and verify batch documentation and correct ingredients.
• Weigh, mix, and package materials according to recipe specifications.
• Set up, start, and monitor weigh‑up or packaging machinery, following safety procedures.
• Report any issues or concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Process, batch off, screen, cut, package, and skid material to the required size or container.
• Support other Production Operators with materials and equipment to maintain continuous operation.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and maintain required paperwork.
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and work‑rule regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lb.
• Capability to work in loud, hot, humid, or dusty environments and wear required PPE.
• Strong communication skills to follow fast‑paced work instructions.

• Forklift operation (licensed).
