Key Account Manager - Star Accounts (West)

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Key Account Manager for its Star Accounts (West) role, based in Mumbai, India. This is a hybrid position within a motivated, open-minded team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with key internal stakeholders to align and implement strategic industry plan initiatives and product offerings.
• Support strategic goals by implementing the business plan to achieve and exceed target revenue and gross margin.
• Run marketing campaigns with key customers in West India.
• Cultivate relationships with top management of existing and potential customers to promote IFF as the preferred supplier.
• Manage projects in Salesforce and update them periodically.
• Deliver flavor solutions and services on time according to customer needs.
• Develop comprehensive account plans outlining customer strategies and managing a strong project pipeline.
• Monitor industry trends, market potential, competitor moves and gather feedback for the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Technology, Business Management, Marketing or similar.
• Minimum 3-5 years of sales or commercial experience in flavors, food ingredients or food & beverage.
• Experience engaging customers and managing key accounts.
• Good commercial and technical knowledge of flavors, their end uses, market dynamics and consumer needs.
• Strong project management, business development and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and manage priorities without supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Preferred: knowledge of the food ingredients business.
