Account Manager - Consumer Fragrance

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring an Account Manager for its Consumer Fragrance business. The role is based in Mumbai, India and is a hybrid position. You will understand the market and customer ecosystem, build cross-functional customer relationships and lead commercial negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the market and customer ecosystem, including activities, strategies, brands, markets and consumers.
• Develop multi-level cross-functional customer relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
• Contribute to or lead commercial negotiations such as core listings, annual pricing, payment terms, rebates, cost savings agreements and supply contracts.
• Deliver optimal solutions for the customer (GP improvement, catalogue optimization, complexity reduction).
• Lead projects and communicate account plans to internal and external stakeholders, liaising with Global, Regional and Category stakeholders.
• Promote the most appropriate IFF product solutions and portfolio aligned with the brief.
• Ensure accurate monthly sales forecasts for operations planning and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Chemistry or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum 4-8 years of experience in sales, product development or marketing, preferably in fragrance, cosmetics or FMCG.
• Proven track record at a similar level with strong commercial drive.
• B2B management experience and customer-centric approach.
• Ability to work across cultures with a global mindset and willingness to travel extensively.

• Advantageous: understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce and South Asia market dynamics.
