Equipment Technician

About the role

The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing a range of surface‑mount technology (SMT) equipment on the production floor. You will work closely with line engineers, managers and operators to ensure high‑quality output, on‑time delivery and a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and repair of SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow and AOI machines.
• Install, align and bring‑up new production lines, including Fuji mounter programming and cycle‑time reduction.
• Analyse breakdowns, manage spare parts and control machine tossing to minimise downtime.
• Support new product development, conduct CPK and GRR studies, and oversee machine installations.
• Monitor product quality, adjust workflow for increased throughput and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to develop work schedules that achieve 100% on‑time delivery.
• Promote a clean, safe workplace and ensure all tools and equipment are ready for use.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with SMT equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow and AOI machine operation.
• SMT machine maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration.
• Line installation, alignment and bring‑up.
