Equipment Technician

About the role

The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing a range of SMT production equipment to ensure continuous, high‑quality output. This role works closely with line engineers, managers, and supervisors to meet on‑time delivery targets and achieve zero‑defect production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate and align SMT machines such as SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow ovens and AOI systems.
• Control machine tossing, manage spare parts inventory, and oversee machine installation.
• Support new product development by conducting CPK and GRR studies.
• Evaluate and adjust material workflow to improve throughput and productivity.
• Collaborate with line teams to create work schedules that ensure 100% on‑time delivery.
• Drive daily quality improvements aiming for zero‑defect products.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure tools are available and in good condition.

Required profile

• Diploma holder.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SMT equipment maintenance.
• Strong analytical mindset for breakdown analysis and process optimisation.

Required skills

• SMT machine maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration.
• Line installation, alignment and bring‑up activities.
• Fuji mounter programming and cycle‑time reduction.
• Breakdown analysis, repair and spare‑part management.
• Experience with CPK, GRR and machine installation procedures.
