About the role
The Area Sales Manager – Retail Unsecured (Salaried) will lead the growth of personal loan business for salaried customers across the Madurai region. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will oversee multiple branch teams, develop channel partnerships and ensure profitable, compliant loan disbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Own and achieve unsecured loan targets (sourcing, disbursement, revenue) for the assigned geography.
- Drive acquisition through branch networks, direct sales, digital funnels and corporate payroll relationships.
- Lead and coach Branch Sales Managers, Relationship Managers and DSTs, setting targets and reviewing performance.
- Build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, DSAs, fintech partners and HR/payroll teams to scale loan volumes.
- Ensure strict adherence to credit policies, documentation standards, fraud checks and audit requirements.
- Deliver a seamless customer journey from application to disbursement, handling escalations and maintaining service standards.
- Monitor portfolio health, early delinquency and vintage performance, working with collections to control risk.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in retail unsecured loan sales and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of credit appraisal, CIBIL bureau norms and compliance processes.
- Proven ability to manage corporate and channel partnerships to generate loan pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and performance‑driven mindset.
