Sales Attendant

About the role

The Sales Attendant role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Sales Attendant will greet customers, understand their needs, and assist them in selecting products while providing clear, accurate information on features and prices.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and assist with product selection.
• Handle sales transactions, operate the cash register or POS system, issue receipts and maintain accurate sales records.
• Organise and replenish stock, keep the sales area clean and presentable, and perform basic inventory checks.
• Work with the store team to meet sales targets, follow company policies and support a safe, welcoming environment.

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills with clear communication and a friendly, professional manner.
• Basic sales and retail abilities, including product knowledge, upselling and accurate cash/POS handling.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills to manage stock and store displays efficiently.
• Problem‑solving attitude and attention to detail for handling queries and ensuring billing accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, follow instructions and adapt to store schedules, including weekends or holidays.
• Basic literacy and numeracy; prior retail experience is an advantage.
• Comfort with learning simple digital tools or POS systems and familiarity with local languages.
