SMT Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SMT Technician to maintain and optimise our surface‑mount technology production lines. The role involves hands‑on work with a range of equipment to ensure high‑quality output and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate SMT machines including SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow ovens and AOI systems.
• Perform line installation, alignment, bring‑up activities and programme Fuji mounters to improve cycle times.
• Analyse breakdowns, execute repairs and manage spare‑part inventory.
• Control machine tossing, support new product development and conduct CPK/GRR assessments.
• Ensure all stations meet company quality standards and optimise workflow for increased throughput.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers and supervisors to develop schedules that achieve 100 % on‑time delivery.
• Promote a safe, clean work environment and drive zero‑defect quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of hands‑on experience in SMT environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards and productivity improvement.

Required skills

• SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow oven and AOI equipment operation.
• Fuji mounter programming and cycle‑time optimisation.
• Machine maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration.
• Breakdown analysis, repair and spare‑part management.
• Machine tossing control, new product development, CPK and GRR analysis.
