SMT Equipment Technician

About the role

The SMT Equipment Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of surface‑mount technology production lines. You will work with a variety of machines to ensure high‑quality output and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate SMT machines including SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow ovens, and AOI systems.
• Perform line installation, alignment, and bring‑up activities for new equipment.
• Program Fuji mounters and implement cycle‑time reduction initiatives.
• Analyze breakdowns, conduct repairs, and manage spare‑part inventories.
• Control machine tossing and support new product development, CPK and GRR studies.
• Monitor production quality, adjust workflow for increased throughput, and ensure 100% on‑time delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and supervisors to maintain safe, clean work environments.

Required profile

• Diploma in a related technical field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with SMT equipment.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams to meet quality and delivery goals.

Required skills

• SMT machine operation (SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, reflow, AOI).
• Machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
• Line installation, alignment, and bring‑up.
• Fuji mounter programming and cycle‑time optimization.
