Tekla Structures/BIM Structural Designer (for projects in Switzerland)

About the role

AFRY is looking for a Tekla Structures/BIM Structural Designer to join its Structural Engineering team in Noida, supporting projects in Switzerland. The role involves creating and maintaining BIM models, drawings and documentation in close collaboration with engineers across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D structural models (concrete, reinforcement, steel and wood) using Tekla Structures.
• Produce 2‑D reinforcement drawings and related documentation for Swiss public and commercial building projects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Noida, Zurich, Chur and Rapperswil to ensure model accuracy and project delivery.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a draftsperson, structural design technician or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering or a similar role.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Tekla Structures (including 3D concrete, reinforcement, steel and wood modelling).
• BIM modelling and 2‑D reinforcement drawing creation.
• Allplan, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Python and Grasshopper for Rhino.
• Good German (B2) and experience with Swiss projects.
