Team Leader – Operations & Production

About the role

The Team Leader will oversee daily operational activities in a manufacturing environment, ensuring smooth production flow, equipment reliability, and high‑quality output. You will act as the first‑line contact for the transactional operations area, guide a team of operators, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support and act as first‑line contact for transactional operations.
• Train operators, run complex machines, and adjust processes to optimise quality and productivity.
• Contribute data to production plans, generate reports and verify their accuracy.
• Coordinate and direct a team while performing routine work.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, inspections and total productive maintenance.
• Schedule shifts, manage leave requests and allocate work to meet production targets.
• Follow Health, Safety & Environment policies to mitigate risks.
• Conduct quality analyses, tests and inspections, making independent decisions.
• Prioritise workflow, use performance management tools and coach team members.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory codes.
• Implement improvements, provide feedback and follow change‑management protocols.
