Tax Consultant II - Belgium - Accounting & Reporting

About the role

As a Tax Consultant II you will support Deloitte’s Belgian tax teams from our Hyderabad office, handling tax accounting and reporting activities. You will gain hands‑on experience with financial statements, tax reporting and digital processes in a cross‑border environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the financial administration of assigned engagements, including invoice processing and query handling.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements for Belgian clients.
• Perform bookkeeping, journal entry analysis, trial balance preparation and general ledger maintenance.
• Execute month‑end and period‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Progressively take on review responsibilities and support senior team members.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics, accountancy or a related financial field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) or General Ledger accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a critical mindset for self‑review.
