Internal Audit and Taxation Manager

About the role

Unique Batteries is seeking a seasoned Internal Audit and Taxation Manager to lead its audit and tax functions. The role requires a professional with at least 10 years of experience in large‑scale manufacturing, strong analytical abilities, and recognized qualifications such as CA, ACCA, ACMA or MBA Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial, operational and internal control audits across inventory, procurement, production, sales and recovery processes.
• Prepare, review and ensure timely filing of Income Tax, Sales Tax and Withholding statements, managing compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations.
• Identify control weaknesses, financial leakages and operational risks, and monitor implementation of audit observations.
• Maintain tax reconciliations, handle FBR notices, and advise management on tax planning opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, primarily in manufacturing environments.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, ACMA or MBA Finance.
• Proven ability to manage a team of professionals and communicate findings to senior management.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies and manufacturing controls.
• Expertise in ERP/accounting systems and inventory cost‑control.
• In‑depth understanding of Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding tax and related regulatory frameworks.
