Tactical Buyer – Procurement Sourcing Professional

About the role

IBM Finance & Operations is seeking a Tactical Buyer to support the global sourcing strategy. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, leveraging data and industry knowledge to secure high‑quality, cost‑effective supplies that drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Source commodity demand in line with IBM’s global sourcing strategy.
• Analyze data and benchmarking insights to guide sourcing decisions.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating contracts that meet business needs.
• Document the sourcing process in a structured, auditable manner.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve optimal outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Experience in commodity sourcing, including demand assessment and supplier identification.
• Strong analytical mindset with exposure to data analysis and benchmarking tools.
• Good understanding of industry trends, supplier dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with sourcing process management and compliance documentation.
