Senior Equity Research Analyst - India Healthcare & Pharmaceutical

About the role

Macquarie is looking for a Senior Equity Research Analyst to join its Equity Research team in Mumbai. Reporting to the Head of India Equity Research, you will lead coverage of the India Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sectors as a writing analyst, helping deepen the firm's footprint in a growing market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and articulate compelling investment opportunities through rigorous market analysis, detailed financial modelling and insightful reports that guide institutional clients' decisions.
• Engage with senior stakeholders at covered companies, maintain strong industry relationships and provide timely, actionable insights reflecting both company fundamentals and broader macro trends.
• Drive thought leadership, uphold high standards of accuracy and clarity, contribute to the Asia regional product and follow emerging themes.

Required profile

• Excellent academic qualifications in finance or related disciplines.
• 7+ years of experience in equity research (buy-side or sell-side) with expertise in India Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sectors.
• Proven ability to deliver actionable insights and a track record of building relationships with institutional clients and internal stakeholders globally.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
