Senior DevOps Engineer (GitLab CI/CD & GitOps)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, and Release on Demand. You will design, build, and optimise end‑to‑end pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and ensure observability through Datadog.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment.
• Establish GitOps workflows, including manifest management, repository structuring and version control.
• Drive Release on Demand processes to enable fast, controlled production releases.
• Manage pipeline orchestration, triggers and scheduling mechanisms.
• Implement logging, monitoring and alerting using Datadog dashboards and pipeline logs.
• Ensure high availability, reliability and scalability of CI/CD platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps best practices.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and continuously improve performance.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD (pipelines, runners, YAML).
• Proven track record implementing GitOps, preferably with Kubernetes.
• Experience delivering Release on Demand / continuous delivery.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices and DevOps principles.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
