Java Developer – Developer II (Software Engineering)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Java Developer with 4‑5 years of experience to join our software engineering team. The role focuses on building secure, high‑performance Spring Boot microservices and deploying them on AWS cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot applications and microservices using Java.
• Implement security mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and public/private key encryption.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and unit tests following best practices.
• Deploy applications using Jenkins pipelines and manage CI/CD gates.
• Integrate services with AWS storage, caching, and streaming technologies (ECS, S3, Lambda, EC2, Glue, DynamoDB).
• Write and optimise SQL statements for relational databases.
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Address security and code‑quality findings from static scanning tools.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of professional experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and performance optimisation.
• Experience working in Agile teams and delivering software in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and time‑management skills.
