Security Partner – Architecture AVP

About the role

The Security Partner supports ANZ’s cyber‑security objectives by working closely with delivery teams to embed security throughout the technology lifecycle. You will act as a security advisor, guiding engineers, architects and project teams to design solutions that meet robust security controls while balancing delivery goals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with delivery teams to design secure solutions and improve security outcomes.
• Conduct security design reviews, identifying control gaps, weaknesses, and exposure points.
• Develop and maintain security design documentation, outlining information flow, control placement and associated risks.
• Facilitate or contribute to threat‑modelling activities, identifying realistic attack scenarios.
• Interpret outputs from security testing activities and translate findings into clear design and build implications.
• Advise teams on how to address identified risks, balancing security requirements with delivery objectives.
• Review vendor contracts and embed relevant cyber‑security clauses, including CPS234 requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with a specialization in cyber‑security architecture.
• Strong experience in security architecture and design, with the ability to apply security principles to solution development.
• Proven ability to conduct security design reviews and threat‑modelling.
• Experience interpreting security testing results and providing actionable guidance.
