Backend Engineer - Python (SDE2)

About the role

Tailored AI builds AI systems for enterprises, moving them from pilots to production across automation, knowledge assistants and autonomous agents. It is hiring an SDE2 in Bengaluru to own an enterprise AI module end to end, build agentic workflows in Python and work directly with clients alongside the seniors leading the project. Key responsibilities

• Own a module end to end, including design, development, testing and delivery.
• Write production code for agent workflows and backend systems as a core individual contributor.
• Work closely with the SDE3 on requirements, technical design and priorities.
• Join client demos and architecture discussions, explain decisions and clarify requirements.
• Share progress, risks and blockers proactively and deliver the module on time.
• Use user needs to guide implementation decisions and resolve issues.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to explain technical work clearly to clients and teammates.
• Ability to complete a module with little supervision and make decisions based on user needs.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on Python, with FastAPI or Django.
• SQL and NoSQL databases, schema design and query optimisation.
• Redis or a similar caching system.
• Agent loops (tool calling, state management, retries, stopping conditions), single- and multi-agent architecture, orchestration, memory and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Prompting, RAG, structured outputs and LLM evaluations.
• Plus: LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK or OpenAI Agents SDK, and cloud deployment on Azure, AWS or GCP, Docker and CI/CD.
