Sales Director – Ad Sales (India Operations)

About the role

Cognizant is looking for a dynamic Sales Director to lead its Ad Sales operations for a major client in India. Based in Hyderabad, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery, strategy and performance of a large‑scale digital advertising program.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for client leadership in India, building trust and identifying growth opportunities.
• Oversee program delivery, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
• Lead, mentor and develop a large team of sales professionals, fostering a high‑performance, customer‑centric culture.
• Design and execute strategic sales plans aligned with client goals and market dynamics.

Required profile

• 15+ years of B2B sales leadership in a high‑pressure, target‑driven environment.
• Extensive experience managing large, complex operations, preferably in digital advertising or technology.
• Proven ability to manage senior‑level client relationships with a customer‑centric focus.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L and project financial management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
