Purchase Manager – Electrical & Civil

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead the procurement of electrical and civil materials, equipment, and services for construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects. The role focuses on vendor development, price negotiation, order management, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement of electrical materials and equipment for various projects.
• Obtain, compare, and evaluate quotations; prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with approved specifications and contractual terms.
• Monitor material availability, quality, and cost effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5–10+ years of experience in electrical procurement or purchase.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, brands, specifications, and market pricing.
• Familiarity with construction, infrastructure, or industrial project environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP/SAP or similar purchase management systems.
• Ability to work with purchase management software and documentation tools.
