Proposal Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join FLSmidth Private Limited. The role is essential for developing technical and commercial proposals that meet client needs and align with company capabilities, supporting business growth in the mining and cement equipment sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, including specifications, scope of work and cost estimates for complex equipment projects in mining and cement.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, R&D and operations to ensure proposal accuracy and feasibility.
• Analyse client requirements and RFP/RFQ documents to identify optimal technical and commercial solutions.
• Conduct technical and commercial risk analyses for each proposal.
• Participate in client meetings to present and defend proposals and understand expectations.
• Keep up‑to‑date with latest technologies, industry trends and relevant standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the proposal development process.
• Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Process, Mining Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5 years experience as a Proposal Engineer, preferably in heavy equipment, mining or cement industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of equipment and processes for mining or cement.
• Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and client requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Spanish and English.
• Detail‑oriented with high accuracy in technical and commercial documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, results‑driven environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
