Packing Operator – Explosives Manufacturing

About the role

The Packing Operator works in the explosives manufacturing unit at INDIAN EXPLOSIVES LIMITED in Gumia. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that explosive products are safely packed and ready for dispatch, adhering to strict quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packing machinery to package explosive products.
• Measure, weigh, and label materials accurately according to procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the packing area.
• Perform basic equipment checks and minor adjustments.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment, and document production records.
• Report any issues or deviations to supervisors and collaborate with production and quality teams.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and regulations for explosives handling.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and adjusting packing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate weighing, labeling, and record‑keeping.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
• Basic literacy and numeracy to read instructions and work orders.
• Willingness to use personal protective equipment and work in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, packing, or industrial operations is an advantage.
• Experience in mining, explosives, or heavy‑industry environments is beneficial.
