Principal Engineer – Chemicals (Advanced Manufacturing)

About the role

Lead design and development of bulk chemicals and slurry distribution systems for advanced manufacturing facilities, covering concept to detailed design stages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of bulk chemicals and slurry distribution systems from concept through detailed design.
• Specify storage, treatment, and piping components, ensuring compliance with SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA standards.
• Prepare technical documentation such as DBR, PFD, P&ID, equipment specifications, and reports.
• Support feasibility studies, cost analysis, risk assessments, and define system performance guarantees.
• Evaluate and select vendors, conduct vendor engineering reviews, and generate isometric drawings and BOQs.
• Monitor project KPIs (timeline, cost, quality) and drive continuous improvement to remove bottlenecks.
• Enforce safety protocols for hazardous and cryogenic gases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in semiconductor fabrication, process engineering, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of chemical handling and international/local standards.

Required skills

• Process modeling and simulation tools.
• DBR, PFD, P&ID preparation.
• Equipment specification development.
• Vendor evaluation and engineering review.
• Isometric drawing creation and BOQ generation.
• Control logic design for process inputs.
