Plumbing Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Plumbing Design Engineer to join our on‑site team in Jharsuguda. You will design plumbing and water‑supply systems for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with codes and integration with other disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layout, schematic and detailed drawings for plumbing and water‑supply systems.
• Perform load calculations, pipe sizing and equipment selection.
• Coordinate with structural, architectural and MEP teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Review project specifications, support BOQ preparation and technical reporting.
• Assist in estimation, value engineering and preparation of sustainable design solutions.
• Conduct site coordination, review contractor/shop drawings and address technical queries.
• Support quality checks to ensure design intent is correctly implemented on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a project‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Plumbing system layout and design.
• Pipe sizing, fixture selection and compliance with relevant standards.
• Water‑supply network design, storage and pressure management.
• MEP coordination and integration with other building services.
• Understanding of drainage, rainwater and related utilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar design and drafting tools.
• Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
