About the role
The Mechanical Workshop Fitter will work in a steel industry setting, assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing plant equipment and structural components.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
- Assemble, align and install plant machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems.
- Repair and overhaul equipment to ensure continuous production.
Required profile
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
- Experience working in a steel or heavy‑industry environment.
Required skills
- Interpretation of mechanical blueprints and schematics.
- Assembly and installation of industrial plant equipment.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems.
