Stores Assistant - Manufacturing Stores & Inventory

About the role

Celestix Industries is setting up a new manufacturing campus in Falna, Rajasthan, with several factories producing wiring harnesses, copper busbars, sheet metal fabrication and electrical components. It is looking for a responsible, organized and detail-oriented Stores Assistant / Store Keeper to support daily manufacturing stores, warehouse operations, inventory control and material movement. The post suits candidates with experience as a Storekeeper, Stores Assistant, Inventory Assistant, Warehouse Assistant or junior Stores Executive in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and store raw materials, components and consumables; prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) in the ERP and coordinate with Quality on incoming inspections.
• Maintain accurate physical and ERP inventory records, perform routine stock checks and cycle counts, and report shortages, discrepancies and damaged stock.
• Issue materials to Production according to approved requisitions or work orders, and track returned unused materials.
• Handle copper material carefully, including scrap weighing and identification, and keep copper offcuts and returned material recorded.
• Store wiring harness components, terminals, connectors and electrical materials separately by size and type, keeping batch identification where required.
• Organize sheet metal, steel and aluminium materials, and coordinate their issue to cutting, bending and fabrication departments.
• Help set up storage locations, bin identification, stock registers and labeling systems in the new facility, and follow FIFO or other approved stock rotation methods.

Required profile

• 1-4 years of experience in stores, inventory or warehouse roles in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to handle materials physically and keep accurate inventory records.
• Knowledge of ERP inventory and Microsoft Excel.
