Supervisor - Brass Insert Pin Division

About the role

Celestix is looking for an experienced Supervisor for its Brass Insert Pin Division in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role oversees production, quality and operational efficiency of the brass insert pin manufacturing department, supervising daily activities, managing manpower, ensuring product quality and meeting production targets while following safety and quality standards. It is a full-time, on-site leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production, allocate manpower across lines and shifts, coordinate shift handovers and monitor machine utilization and OEE
• Oversee manufacturing of brass insert pins to engineering drawings and customer specs, including CNC, automatic turning, thread rolling and secondary operations, optimizing cycle time and minimizing downtime
• Ensure products meet dimensional, visual and functional requirements, run in-process inspections and first-piece approvals, and support CAPA with the Quality Department
• Train operators and helpers on work instructions, quality and safety; hold daily production meetings and shift briefings
• Execute production plans, monitor raw material consumption and wastage, and coordinate with Stores and Purchase
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance, report equipment issues, monitor tooling life and keep workstations clean
• Ensure safety compliance and drive 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen to reduce scrap, rework and losses

Required profile

• 2-6 years of experience; preferred 5-10 years in brass insert pin manufacturing or precision machining
• Experience supervising CNC machining or brass component production
• Knowledge of ERP systems and production documentation preferred
• Experience in automotive, electrical or precision engineering industries preferred
