EHS Manager - Power Plant, Mungeli

About the role

An Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is needed for a power plant in Rampura, Mungeli, Chhattisgarh. The role provides strategic leadership for EHS, statutory compliance, risk management and environmental performance across plant operations. One position is open, full time.

Key responsibilities

• EHS management: develop, implement and monitor safety policies, risk assessments (HIRA, HAZOP) and safety management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001)
• Regulatory compliance: ensure alignment with national and local labour and environmental laws such as the Factories Act, Pollution Control Board regulations and OSHA/EPA standards
• Audits and inspections: lead internal and external EHS audits, safety committee meetings and facility walkthroughs, and close corrective and preventive actions on time
• Incident investigation: investigate accidents, injuries and near-misses using root-cause analysis tools such as Why-Why and 8D
• Training and culture: run safety inductions, toolbox talks, emergency response drills and staff training
• Environmental oversight: manage effluent treatment plant operations, hazardous waste disposal, emissions monitoring and sustainability initiatives where applicable

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical or environmental), environmental science or occupational health and safety
• Recognised industrial safety qualification or diploma (e.g. PDIS/ADIS), NEBOSH IGC or CSP/ASP preferred
• 5 to 15+ years of hands-on EHS management experience in manufacturing, chemical plants, construction or industrial facilities
