Mechanical Engineer – New Product Design (5‑10 yrs)

About the role

HCL Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Bangalore campus. The role focuses on new product design and development for semiconductor (SEMI) products, requiring hands‑on expertise with NX and a solid understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop machined parts, sheet‑metal components, enclosures, chassis, vacuum chambers, and frames for semiconductor equipment.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Perform basic structural and thermal analyses using Ansys and conduct simple FEA calculations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Teamcenter, SAP PLM, Agile, and ECO processes.
• Support redesign activities such as AC box redesign, OEM selection, and vacuum/gas line routing.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the semiconductor domain.
• Proven track record in new product design and development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the Jigani campus in Bangalore.
