Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting automation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing machinery, including electrical, pneumatic, utility and chiller systems.
• Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, schedules, logs and spare‑parts inventory while monitoring MTBF and MTTR metrics.
• Analyze equipment performance, recommend upgrades, support automation initiatives (Omron PLCs) and assist with ERP/SAP/MES implementation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct electrical safety checks and coordinate with external contractors.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering with 5+ years experience, or BE/B.Tech with 2‑3 years experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and troubleshooting abilities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Preventive and breakdown maintenance practices
• Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and chiller system knowledge
• Familiarity with SAP, ERP and MES maintenance modules
• Experience with PLCs and Omron automation systems
