Lead Control Panel Design Engineer

About the role

Actemium India, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies, is looking for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to head the design of MCC, PCC and control panels. The role involves ensuring high‑quality engineering, compliance with international standards and timely delivery while mentoring a team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of MCC, PCC and control panels according to project specifications.
• Review electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings and bills of materials.
• Ensure designs meet IEC, IS and IEEE standards.
• Coordinate with production, procurement and quality teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interact with clients for design approvals.
• Drive cost optimisation, design standardisation and support testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• 8–12 years of experience in panel design, including at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, quality and a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of MCC, PCC and control panel design.
• Expertise in electrical schematics and power distribution systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and EPLAN.
• Knowledge of protection systems, switchgear and IEC/IS standards.
