FEED Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

The FEED Engineer will lead Front‑End Engineering Design activities for industrial automation and digitalisation projects, shaping automation concepts and system architecture for customers in process and manufacturing sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute FEED studies for PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, MES, IIoT and Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Gather requirements, conduct site surveys and hold technical discussions with customers.
• Prepare functional design specifications, I/O lists, network architecture and control philosophy.
• Support sales and bid teams, coordinate with process, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical engineers, and identify project risks and mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial automation, system integration or project engineering.
• Proven experience in FEED, conceptual or detailed engineering for industrial projects.

Required skills

• PLC platforms: Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, Omron, B&R.
• SCADA/HMI: WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition, AVEVA, FactoryTalk, Citect.
• DCS systems: Siemens PCS7, ABB, Yokogawa, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell.
• Industrial networks: Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC‑UA.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, drives, motion control, robotics and safety systems.
