Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Infosys is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to protect the company’s legal interests and ensure compliance across its IT services operations. The role involves advising senior executives, drafting key commercial agreements, and supporting business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze legal and commercial risks and provide clear recommendations.
• Draft and review commercial agreements such as Master Service Agreements, Alliance Agreements, and License Agreements.
• Assist in preparing proposals, responding to tenders and RFPs, and supporting negotiations with customers and vendors.
• Ensure contracts meet internal risk‑mitigation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide corporate compliance advice and track relevant laws and regulations.
• Offer legal guidance to executive staff across the organization.

Required profile

• LLB or Masters in Law from a reputable law school.
• 7‑10 years of legal experience, preferably within the IT industry.
• Experience working with clients in the United States or Canada is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of contract law, intellectual property, and corporate compliance.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
• Familiarity with macro‑economic trends affecting the IT sector.
