Legal Counsel – IT & ITeS Services

About the role

The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal services to Bosch Group India, focusing on IT and ITeS services for Bosch Global Software (BGSW) and supporting worldwide IT & ITeS operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts, including software licensing, SaaS, PaaS and cloud computing agreements.
• Ensure all agreements comply with applicable laws, internal policies and support business objectives.
• Provide legal advice on cyber security, data privacy, intellectual property and other IT‑related matters.
• Monitor legal developments in data protection, AI and technology tools, and advise stakeholders accordingly.
• Collaborate with senior legal counsel to assess and mitigate legal risks.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB) from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Indian law college; LLM or specialization is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contracting and advisory within the IT/ITeS sector, preferably in a reputable law firm or in‑house counsel role.

Required skills

• Strong contract management and negotiation abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of IT, cyber security, data privacy, intellectual property and software‑related laws.
• Analytical thinking, effective communication and proactive risk management.
