Junior Welding Engineer (TIG/Orbital) – Aerospace

About the role

GE Aerospace is seeking a Junior Welding Engineer to join its Multi‑modal Manufacturing Facility in Pune. The role focuses on TIG and orbital welding of tubes, sheet metal parts, and ducts using stainless steel and Inconel alloys for aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG and orbital welding of tubes, air manifolds, and sheet metal components.
• Repair defective stainless steel and Inconel castings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, SOPs, and manuals to ensure correct product finish.
• Assemble welded products and conduct final inspections.
• Maintain welding equipment and accessories such as positioners, bevellers, rollers, and 3D welding tables.

Required profile

• Diploma with at least 2.5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Certified in AWS D17.1 6G position for II‑A & III‑B materials.
• Experience producing X‑ray quality Class B welds on SS 321 and Inconel 625.
• Strong personal integrity and safety mindset.
• Prior exposure to aerospace tube and duct fabrication is preferred.
