Team Leader – Production (Die Casting)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee daily die‑casting production at our Pune facility. You will be responsible for managing manpower, ensuring optimal machine utilization, and driving continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily die‑casting production and manpower deployment.
• Monitor die‑casting machines, melting furnaces, dies, process parameters and cycle times.
• Implement 5S, TPM, Kaizen and safe work practices to reduce downtime, scrap and rework.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Maintenance, Quality and Planning departments.
• Analyze casting defects, maintain production records and drive corrective actions.
• Train and guide operators to improve productivity and quality.

Required profile

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical, Production or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in pressure die‑casting operations.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium and zinc die‑casting processes, dies, furnaces and trimming operations.
• Understanding of casting defects, cycle‑time optimisation, OEE and quality tools.
• Leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
