Junior Welding Engineer (TIG/Orbital)

About the role

The Junior Welding Engineer will perform TIG and orbital welding of tubes, sheet‑metal parts and ducts using stainless steel (SS321) and Inconel 625. The role is based in our Multi‑modal Manufacturing Facility in Pune, supporting aerospace component production for defence, commercial and global aviation markets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG and orbital welding of tubes, air manifolds, sheet‑metal parts and ducts.
• Repair defective stainless‑steel and Inconel castings to meet quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, manuals, SOPs and MOS to produce finished welded products.
• Assemble welded components and ensure proper fit‑up.
• Maintain welding equipment, positioners, bevellers, rollers and 3D welding tables.

Required profile

• Diploma with minimum 2.5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Certified in AWS D17.1 6G welding for II A & III B materials.
• Experience producing X‑ray quality Class B weld joints on SS321 and Inconel 625.
• Strong safety mindset and personal integrity.

Required skills

• TIG welding and orbital welding techniques.
• Welding stainless steel (SS321) and Inconel 625.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use of welding positioners, bevellers, rollers and 3D welding tables.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
