Junior Urban Planner / Infrastructure Planner / Architect

About the role

The Junior Urban Planner/Infrastructure Planner/Architect will support the planning, design and development of urban infrastructure, industrial parks, townships, smart cities and regional development projects. You will assist senior planners and engineers with master‑planning, infrastructure planning, data analysis, GIS mapping, report preparation and project coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing master plans, concept plans, zonal and layout plans and support land‑use, density and development‑control assessments.
• Conduct demographic, socioeconomic and market studies to inform planning decisions.
• Support planning of roads, transportation networks, storm‑water drainage, water supply, sewerage, waste‑management and power‑distribution systems.
• Prepare GIS maps, spatial databases and thematic utility plans using ArcGIS/QGIS and satellite imagery.
• Help draft feasibility, concept, preliminary design, detailed project and tender documents.
• Coordinate topographical, geotechnical, traffic and utility surveys, conduct site visits and validate field data.
• Liaise with engineering teams, architects, environmental consultants and government authorities, attend project review meetings and prepare minutes.
• Assist with statutory approval processes and ensure multidisciplinary coordination of infrastructure layouts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering (planning specialization) or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience in urban or infrastructure planning.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Team‑oriented with good coordination skills and willingness to travel for site visits.
