Java Backend Developer

About the role

Synechron is hiring a Java Backend Developer in Hyderabad to build and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The role delivers reliable, secure and high-performing services that support the company's business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications and APIs
• Integrate with frontend systems and third-party services
• Write clean, reusable and efficient code
• Conduct code reviews and improve code quality
• Troubleshoot backend issues and optimise performance
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Collaborate with QA, product and frontend teams
• Write tests and technical documentation, and join stand-ups, sprint planning and team sessions

Required profile

• 5+ years of Java backend development experience
• Experience building APIs and backend services
• Experience in microservices or service-based environments
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Preferred: relevant Java certifications

Required skills

• Java 8+
• Spring Boot and Spring MVC
• REST APIs and microservices
• MySQL and familiarity with MongoDB
• Git, Maven or Gradle
• Preferred: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ, basic cloud exposure (AWS, Azure or GCP), JUnit, Mockito, OAuth2, JWT, Kubernetes
