Insurance Risk SME & AI Evaluation Specialist (On-Call, Remote)

About the role

Volga Partners is seeking experienced insurance and finance professionals to join an on‑call network of subject‑matter experts supporting AI model development, training and evaluation for financial and insurance reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review finance‑related prompts, scenarios and analytical tasks for AI models.
• Evaluate AI‑generated responses for financial accuracy, reasoning quality and business relevance.
• Review financial analyses, assumptions, calculations and recommendations, identifying inaccuracies and improvement areas.
• Provide structured feedback and quality assessments to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure high‑quality deliverables and meet established timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Law, Insurance, Risk Management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in finance, audit, insurance, compliance, legal or risk disciplines.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with excellent written English communication.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, budgeting and investment analysis.
• Quantitative research and analytical report review.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, data annotation or model evaluation projects.
