Food & Beverage Assistant – Café Counter

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food & Beverage Assistant to run the day‑to‑day operations at the Garden Grub counter. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling orders, payments and coordination with the kitchen to ensure a smooth café experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience.
• Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen for timely preparation.
• Process cash, UPI, card and other digital payments, maintaining precise transaction records.
• Generate bills, maintain daily sales logs and prepare end‑of‑day collection reports.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct and prompt order delivery.
• Address customer queries, feedback and basic complaints courteously.
• Keep the counter area clean, hygienic and well‑organized.
• Monitor stock of packaging, beverages and other essentials, reporting shortages.
• Hand over cash, records and pending orders at shift end following SOPs.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in counter handling, café, restaurant, QSR, retail or hospitality.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Presentable, responsible, punctual and able to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of billing/POS systems.
• Experience with digital payment methods (UPI, card, etc.).
• Good numerical ability and cash‑handling skills.
