Hotel Hostess

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is opening its first neighbourhood hotel in Asia in the city centre, with 149 bedrooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a rooftop pool and bar, function rooms and an events space. It is looking for a Hostess to join its team and act as the main point of contact for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Give guests a welcoming and memorable experience, from the Hox welcome to answering questions and handling requests.
• Manage guests' arrival and departure, ensuring all bills are correct and contain no surprises.
• Work with all teams to keep the hotel busy and help the restaurant team with individual and group bookings.
• Answer phones, sort out requests and give recommendations.
• Take reservations by phone, handle cash and card payments and help the team on the floor.
• Use the online reservation system and enter all necessary details on reservations.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively provide solutions so expectations are exceeded.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy front-of-house role.
• Passion for hospitality and a desire to leave guests with a memorable experience.
• Team player who is not precious, willing to try almost anything once and enjoys sharing a laugh.
• Attitude and a genuine interest in making people feel welcome and looked after.
