Financial Director – Finance Leader for Startup

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead finance for a fast‑growing startup in Bangalore. The role will own the complete finance function for a business with revenues between ₹50 crore and ₹300 crore, driving strategic financial decisions in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end finance, accounting, AP/AR, payroll, tax and statutory compliance.
• Manage monthly and quarterly closures, MIS, and reporting to the board and investors.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow and working‑capital management.
• Support fundraising, due‑diligence, cap‑table and term‑sheet processes.
• Strengthen financial controls, systems and workflows.
• Build and scale the finance team from the ground up.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 10–15 years of finance experience, including 4–5 years in consulting and 5–7 years in e‑commerce, retail, quick commerce, D2C or similar sectors.
• Proven track record of owning finance for a ₹50–300 crore business, preferably in a startup or scale‑up.
• Hands‑on, commercially strong, with solid FP&A and reporting experience.
• Comfortable working with founders, investors and external stakeholders.
