Equipment Engineer – Lead Maintenance & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a senior Equipment Engineer to lead a team of engineers and technicians in maintaining and upgrading our manufacturing equipment. The role combines strategic planning, process optimisation, and hands‑on project delivery to ensure high equipment uptime and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of equipment engineers and technicians, allocating resources to meet production and project timelines.
• Develop and implement equipment maintenance, upgrade, and lifecycle strategies, including procurement and disposal.
• Identify automation and efficiency opportunities, collaborating with production and quality teams to resolve equipment‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
• Prepare and control equipment budgets, driving cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Lead equipment installation and commissioning projects, coordinating with vendors and contractors for timely execution.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in equipment engineering within semiconductor, automotive, or electronics manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (master’s preferred).
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
