Document Controller – Engineering & Innovation Center

About the role

The Document Controller will join Chevron’s ENGINE Facilities Designs Engineering team, providing document control services for engineering and business documentation. Working from the Bengaluru office, the role supports the global ENGINE Center by ensuring documents are managed, tracked, and distributed in line with Chevron standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide document control support, ensuring governance, standards, and service level agreements are met.
• Format, number, revision‑control, and manage all controlled documents according to Chevron conventions.
• Receive, process, distribute, and track documents following established procedures and distribution matrices.
• Develop, generate, and distribute business reports as required.
• Monitor compliance and quality‑assurance activities to maintain integrity and completeness of documentation within the DMS master repository.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address day‑to‑day document control needs and long‑term objectives.
• Maintain controlled hard‑copy collections at department satellite locations when needed.

Required profile

• Ability to influence without authority and liaise effectively with diverse teams, customers, project groups, and management.
• Strong coordination skills to manage document‑management activities while meeting performance targets.
• Capability to communicate concurrent engineering concepts clearly to varied audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Document Management Systems (DMS) and related document control procedures.
