Director, Finance & Accounting (Chartered Accountant)

About the role

We are looking for a senior finance leader to build and run a Finance Centre of Excellence for a global organisation. The role will be based in Bengaluru and will report to senior leadership, overseeing end‑to‑end finance and accounting functions across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and scale a global Finance CoE, hiring and mentoring a team of 35 finance professionals.
• Lead Order‑to‑Cash processes including customer onboarding, credit review, invoicing, collections and revenue support.
• Oversee Procure‑to‑Pay operations, managing vendor onboarding, invoice processing and domestic/international payments.
• Drive month‑end close activities, general ledger accounting, accruals, fixed assets, balance‑sheet reconciliations and audit support.
• Coordinate statutory compliance and reporting for subsidiaries in Germany, India and Thailand, ensuring local GAAP and tax requirements.
• Manage intercompany eliminations, foreign‑exchange translation and consolidation into the U.S. parent under U.S. GAAP.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA India) qualification.
• 10‑15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including time at a top‑tier audit/assurance firm.
• Proven track record of hiring, leading and developing large finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, global accounting standards and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to work overlapping U.S. business hours.

• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite ERP.
