Dialysis Technician

About the role

The Dialysis Technician plays a vital role in delivering safe and effective dialysis treatment to patients. Working closely with doctors and nurses, you will ensure that each session runs smoothly, maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and patient condition before, during, and after dialysis.
• Operate, clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis machines, reusable dialyzers, and related equipment.
• Assist clinical staff during dialysis procedures and support overall patient care.
• Prepare patients, machines, dialyzers, tubing, and required supplies prior to treatment.
• Track dialysis parameters and promptly report any abnormalities or complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment details, and vital signs at regular intervals.
• Follow strict hygiene, infection‑control, and biomedical waste disposal protocols.
• Provide basic care and assistance to patients throughout the dialysis session.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Dialysis Technique from the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal or any recognized university/institution.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Dialysis Technician in a nephrology or dialysis unit of a reputable multispecialty hospital.

Required skills

• Dialysis machine operation and maintenance.
• Patient vital‑sign monitoring.
• Infection‑control procedures.
