Hospital Pharmacist

About the role

The Hospital Pharmacist ensures that all medicines required for outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) services are available, correctly dispensed, and safely administered. You will work closely with doctors, nurses, and patients to provide accurate medication counseling and maintain high standards of pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Indent and procure medicines to guarantee availability according to doctor prescriptions for OPD and IPD.
• Dispense medications for both OPD and IPD patients, verifying correctness and dosage.
• Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence.
• Maintain accurate medication records, including dispensing logs and inventory sheets.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and handle expiry management.
• Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Council of India regulations and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Diploma (D.Pharm), Bachelor (B.Pharm) or Master (M.Pharm) in Pharmacy from a PCI‑approved institution.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a reputable hospital or medical institution.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, drug interactions, and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
